In-situ Leaching Technique and Technology Research Department

In-situ Leaching Technique and Technology Research Department of Beijing Research Institute of Chemical Engineering and Metallurgy is an specialized institution which is engaged in the In-situ leaching technique and technology for uranium recovery and also is the only research department of China National Nuclear Corporation (CNNC) and the only research department national wide which has strong research force on uranium mining by in-situ leaching technology and has got a lot achievements in this field. In this Department seven of the staff are professor senior engineers and six senior engineers. Subjects and research fields include geology, hydro-geology and engineering geology, boring engineering, geological physics prospect, chemical engineering metallurgy, chemical engineering, chemical mechanics design, biological chemical engineering, environmental engineering etc. The research subjects in this department are comprehensive and age structure of the staff is reasonable.

There are ten laboratories in this Department, which has over 100 sets apparatus, meters, machine and equipment. The total area of the laboratory is 800 m². All of these can meet the requirements of basic research on in-situ leaching uranium and engineering application. This department also has a good environment as well as a good work atmosphere for carrying out research, academic exchange, and technique cooperation etc..

At present this department is carrying out research works on in-situ leaching, in-situ leaching recovery uranium process system, and developing new technology for sand stone. At the same time the department has made intensified cooperation with the International Atom Energy Agency, had carried out the research works for the CNNC and accomplished the training senior technic staff. All the staff of this department with the reliable technique and sincere service likes to make sincere cooperation with Uranium Mining and Mills, and make the great contribution to the development of in-situ leaching uranium technique and technology.
