PYROLYTIC GRAPHITE
CRUCIBLE(TPGC) The Pyrolytic Graphite Crucible won the National Scientific and Technological Advance Prize in 1985 and Brussels Eureka silver medal in 1986 and the Second Beijing International Fairs golden medal in 1991. The pyrolytic graphite crucible is directly made from pyrolytic hydro-carbon compounds at the conditions of high temperature, low pressure and inerte atmosphere. It has the characteristics of high purity, smooth surface, compact structure, limited permeability, easy cleaning, high resistance to strong acids (e. g. hydrochloric acid, nitric acid, hydrofluoric acid, sulphuric acid, etc.) and bases (e. g. sodium hydroxide, potassium hydroxide, etc.) except perchloric acid and sodium peroxide. Samples in the crucibles can not be contaminated in the case of melting. PGC are used to decompose very different kinds of ores and other materials with acids or alkalis. They are particularly suitable to the decomposition and purification of high pure materials and reagents, and can be substitute for other crucibles made of platinum, gold, silver, nickel, quartz, corundum, teflon ordinary graphite in analytical uses. The making theory and process of this series of products are almost the same as the Total Pyrolytic Graphite Crucible. They can be used in many kinds of graphite oven in AAS.
